Adolescent Mental Health

PUPIL REFERRAL UNITS

Young people with challenging behavior issues are some of the most musical and creative people on the planet! Many young people in PRU’s love creating grime, dubstep and hip hop beats which allows them to talk about their individual stories of broken homes, love, peer pressure, crime, politics and many other important issues.

I work with young people across mainstream schools in London and teach a combination of tabla, dhol, music technology and music video production.

Working with young people who are at risk of ‘extremism’

Recent project which focuses on young people who are predominately Muslim.
They are engaging in creative musical stimulus which provides them with a medium to express their individual stories. A documentary was recently presented to councillors in Redbridge which proved very successful as it depicted all the intelligent creative work they have produced.
