ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH
Working with young people with severe mental health issues is one of the most rewarding projects we have ever worked on. Despite their difficult circumstances, the young people are incredibly creative souls with complex ideas for sound and musical arrangement. A recent music video shoot included doctors and consultants dancing with patients which proved to be a very special day!
PUPIL REFERRAL UNITS
Young people with challenging behavior are some of the most musical and creative people on the planet! Many young people in PRU’s love creating grime, dubstep and hip hop beats which allows them to express their individual stories of broken homes, love, peer pressure, crime, politics and many other important issues.
MAINSTREAM SCHOOLS
We work with young people across mainstream schools in London and teach a combination of tabla, dhol, music technology and music video production.
WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE AT RISK OF ‘EXTREMISM’
The team at CREATIVE EDUCATION are currently working with young people who are predominately Muslim. They are engaging in creative musical stimulus which provides them with a medium to express their plight of being treated as socail outcastes due to negative media attention. A documentary was recently presented to councillors in Redbridge which celebrated the intelligent creative work they have collectively produced.
